Job Description

Supports service department operations under the direct mentorship of senior technicians while learning to inspect, diagnose, and maintain BMW vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Duties & Hands-On Training

• Learn to operate shop equipment to inspect and test vehicles under direct supervision.
• Perform entry-level preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations and replacements, wheel balancing, and engine tune-ups.
• Shadow experienced technicians to learn diagnostic procedures for engine failures as well as mechanical and electrical system repairs.
• Assist with state safety and emission compliance testing.
• Accurately document all completed work and maintenance notes in vehicle service records.
• Maintain shop tool inventory, clean equipment, assist with troubleshooting breakdowns, and follow safety protocols.
• Support dealership maintenance goals and overall team operations as needed.
